PERMITS, HANDLED
Filming in Paris runs on precise rules and lead times. A light street shoot needs a declaration filed at least 5 business days ahead. A full permit officially needs 15 business days. In practice, the earlier the better: complex or high-impact shoots can take up to three months. Iconic landmarks are negotiated directly with each site. We plan all of it from the first call. Paris is packed with world-class film and photo studios, from vast soundstages to daylight studios full of character, and we know them inside out. When the street isn’t the answer, we’ll find the stage that is. Need Paris without the permits? The “Streets of Paris” backlot recreates the city in a controlled setting, and our network of partner studios opens the door to virtual production.

FAQ
Do I need a permit to film a commercial in Paris?
Yes, for any shoot in a public space. It’s a simple declaration for a light street shoot, and a full permit for parks, the Seine, drones, parking or crews over 10.
How far ahead should I plan?
At least 5 business days for a declaration and 15 for a full permit. Landmarks and complex shoots often take longer, so the earlier we talk, the more doors stay open.
Can I film on the Champs-Élysées?
Not at the moment: filming there is currently suspended by the police authorities. We’ll find you something just as striking.
Does the French tax rebate apply to commercials?
No, the TRIP is reserved for scripted fiction and animation. On a commercial, we protect your budget through smart planning and our network.
Do you work outside Paris?
Yes. Paris is our home ground, but we shoot all over France and in Monaco, with trusted crews on the Riviera and in Provence, on the West coast and in the Alps.
